Happy January everyone!
Let's just hope that 2018 is the year that Isaac can finally beat Jack in 2k.
New Year's Eve was super uneventful. We tracted most of the day after church and then we went to dinner with a member and had comp. study after since we had to be in early. We stayed up until about 11:30 (would not recommend) playing this dice game and then we heard some fireworks while we were in bed so thats how we celebrated.
Last Wednesday, we were able to go to the Sacramento Temple. The spirit was so strong in there and it was so beautiful. If you have the chance to go there, do it! The second best part about it was we were able to get some Prands (Panda Express) right after so that made my day even better! Sacramento really reminds me of the Sugarhouse area so that was pretty cool!
On Saturday we visited a bunch of members to introduce my new companion to them. We shared with them Mosiah Chapter 3, which deals with the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and how because of him, we are able to do all things!
This will be a shorter email because not too many things happened this week. The song of the week is "Trouble" by Coldplay. It's been stuck in my head for the past few days but it's a solid song, so all good!
I hope that everyone has a fantastic beginning of 2018! Try to keep those New Year's resolutions for more than 3 days!
2018-fully,
Elder Thompson
