SANTA Rosa Christmas

12.25.17

Merry Christmas from California!!
I hope that everyone enjoys it and that all of those missionary families enjoyed talking to their missionaries!!
This week was pretty crazy. So as you know from last week, I'm now training a new missionary named Elder Jones from Price, Utah. He is pretty great and I'm excited to be training. I went to Santa Rosa on Tuesday and worked there for the day and then I met Elder Jones and we went out street contacting in downtown Santa Rosa! It was super pretty and really weird to see people out past 5pm because in Dixon, once the sun sets, so do the people....
We got back to Dixon the next day around 3 and went shopping and what not and it was great. We were out tracting pretty much all day on Saturday and we met some cool potential investigators!
Yesterday, Christmas Eve, we also had the baptism of Carlos and Rosa, two Spanish speaking people. It was cool to see them baptized because I had taught them in the past and then handed them off to the actual Spanish missionaries.
Today has been great so far!  We got to open up some presents and I got to talk to my family and some close friends! I loved it a lot and it was a great Christmas present.
Remember the reason for the season! Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Christ! The song of the week is "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" cover by the Pentatonix. Enjoy everyone!
Love,
Elder Thompson

thank you to everyone who has made him feel so loved this first Christmas in the field! xo
