Hello all and merry (almost) Christmas!
This week was a good one!
On Tuesday, Elder Siebach was sick so sadly, we didn't do anything.... it was a rough day for everyone. But we were able to have a lesson with our new investigator, Damon, who is progressing quickly! We taught the Restoration and he soaked it all in!
We also picked up 8 year old twins as new investigators! They've been to church twice each and have already talked to the bishop about it!
Wednesday was Zone Conference so that was great! We taught about how we can fulfill our purpose and how to contact people better with the gift of discernment!
On Thursday, we were able to help out with Toys For Tots by setting up a ton of coats for people young and old. Friday, we were able to help a part member family wrap like a million presents. It took way long and we were supposed to be planning but it was all worth it!
The most exciting news came on Sunday night though, Elder Siebach and Elder Mohler are leaving for Santa Rosa and San Rafael and I am training a brand new missionary starting on Wednesday! I'll get to work with Elder Nate Koelliker all day tomorrow so that should be great!
I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and that you all remember the true reason for Christmas.
The song of the week is the Pentatonix cover of "Mary Did You Know?" Hands down one of the best versions of that song I have ever heard.
The Church is true! And if anyone spoils the new Star Wars for me, I'm going less active.
Love,
Elder Thompson
